HYGIENE CHAMPIONS OF SINGRAULI CONDUCT AWARENESS RALLY ON PLASTIC POLLUTION

With Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi appealing for a plastic-free India, students of Essar-supported Saraswati Shishu Mandir have pledged to be the ‘Hygiene Champions’ of Singrauli village in Madhya Pradesh. The students conducted an awareness rally through the busy Karsuraja market, on the hazards of plastic pollution.

The Hygiene Champions grouped themselves to initiate a clean-up drive targeting various pockets of the market area. They also interacted with the people in the market and villages motivating them to follow the maxim of avoiding plastic, and to reduce / recycle / reuse the plastic if usage cannot be avoided.
The students sensitised the shopkeepers in the market on the use of cloth bags and enlisted them to practice responsible disposal of plastic waste. Essar Foundation is proud of its young Hygiene Champions of Singrauli!
