Essar Ports makes a mark at ‘The Maritime Standard Tanker Conference’ in Dubai

The fourth annual ‘The Maritime Standard Tanker Conference’ took place on 22 October 2019 (Tuesday) at Atlantis, the Palm, Dubai. Based on the theme of ‘Ports & Shipping – future trade patterns, and market influences’, the conference aimed at enabling industry leaders to achieve long-term business growth.

Speaking at a session on ‘Adapting support infrastructure and services to ensure market success’, Mr Rajiv Agarwal, MD & CEO – Essar Ports, highlighted the need for LNG infrastructure at ports, and trends and opportunities in India. He also spoke on the requirement of a modern port infrastructure for regasification terminals to deliver world-class efficiencies.

The event also saw Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip and Essar Ports win ‘The Environment Protection Award’ for their green initiatives. Essar Bulk Terminal Paradip was also a finalist for the ‘Terminal Operator of the Year’ and ‘The Corporate Social Responsibility’ awards. The Ports team is immensely proud of earning these recognitions at an international forum of such stature!

Mr Agarwal presented The Safety and Security Award to Abu Dhabi Ports’ to recognise its initiatives to ensure safe operations.
