Essarites work towards community, immunity and unity on International Yoga Day 2020

The world is feeling the need for yoga more than ever due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The benefits of practicing Yoga surpasses just physical, mental and spiritual goals. The 6th International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June, coinciding with the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The theme for this year was “Yoga at home, Yoga with family”.
Essarites too celebrated International Yoga Day 2020 across various locations. While some practiced yoga with their families at home, some got together on-site with their work families taking all required safety precautions.

Taking out time from work, Essarites practiced asanas at the Essar Ports Hazira, Salaya and Vizag terminals.

Essarites were encouraged to share a photograph of themselves doing a kriya, asana, pranayama, bandra or mudra with the corporate HR team. The best entries earned their way into the social media platforms of Essar.

At Essar Bulk Terminals Ltd (EBTL), Hazira, the Ports family came together at the bank of the Tapi River. The energising session, which was conducted keeping all safety precautions in mind started with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and ended with a pledge to ensure everyone strives to make yoga a part of their lives.

Participants also congregated at Essar Vizag Terminals Ltd (EVTL) and Essar Bulk Terminal Salaya Ltd (EBTSL) to practice some asanas while benefiting from the energy that reverbed from their peers.
