Employees of Essar Power MP Limited, under its employee volunteering drive, have volunteered their time to undertake extra weekly classes for school children.
With the beginning of the new academic session, team Essar Foundation, Singrauli organised distribution of books, notebooks, stationery and school bags for children of Saraswati Shishu Mandir School, Nagwa.
Three employees have been taking regular classes for students of Std VIII to X for subjects that they find difficulty in learning. The initiative is expected to help students requiring extra attention in learning certain subjects, extending guidance on practical career opportunities and building their confidence. The children have been able to demonstrate their growing interest in academics with a rise in attendance and improved scores in class tests.
