‘Children are becoming easy prey to sexual abuse because of their tender age, physical vulnerabilities and inexperience of life and society,’ states the #POCSO (Amendment) Bill 2019.
Taking cognizance, Essar Power feels a sense of urgency for greater awareness of child sexual abuse. In this light, Essar Power conducted a workshop in Hazira on ‘Prevention of Child Sex Abuse and Parenting’, which was led by Dr. Falguni Patel from Surat Citizen Council Against Child Sex Abuse (SURACCSA). Feeling more responsible for protecting children, Essarites and their spouses were sensitised to prevent, recognise and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
