Essar Ports bags ‘The Corporate Social Responsibility’ Award

Essar Ports, Limited one of India’s largest private sector port and terminal developers and operator has bagged “The Corporate Social Responsibility Award” at the 8th The Maritime Standard Awards, held on November 22, 2021 at Dubai. Essar Ports is one of the flagship assets under the infrastructure portfolio of Essar Global Fund Limited (EGFL). The fund is managed by Essar Capital.

The award was received by Mr. Rajiv Agarwal, Operating Partner, Infrastructure – Essar and Managing Director, Essar Ports Ltd.

The Maritime Standard Awards provided an outstanding, high-profile platform for individual and organisations and recognise them for excellence in the shipping, ports and maritime industry sectors. In its 8th consecutive year under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, the awards celebrates the achievements of the industry’s top performers with style and panache.

This year, more than 700 executives, including delegations from Saudi Arabia, India, Oman, Kuwait, Asia and Europe, assembled in the World Trade Centre to witness the presentation of 29 different categories of awards. In total 20 awards were presented to individuals and companies following the deliberations of the judging panel.

All Essar Ports terminals are equipped with advanced cargo handling infrastructure and are well poised to double capacity in the near to medium term.

Essar have been investing extensively in developing and building state-of-the-art mechanised terminals that provides a competitive edge. The objective is to ensure visibility of cargo, handle cargo in most efficient and environment friendly manner and to handle bigger vessels with faster turnaround – paving way for lower logistics cost.
