Specialised dental checkup camp was conducted in Mora Primary School of Hazira area. Children and adults including 343 students, school staff and trainees of Essar Lok Vikas Kendras underwent checkup at the day long camp. A range of dental issues emerged, like tooth decay, abnormal tooth colour, irregular teeth, especially among the children.
Poor cleaning methods and practices appeared to be widespread. The students were counselled about dental hygiene and how to brush teeth. The teachers were provided tips on identifying critical dental issues, and were suggested to regularly educate children and parents for proper care and timely treatment. Technical support for the camp was provided by Sumirow – Multi Specialty Dental Clinic, Surat.
