Essar Foundation’s ‘Sattar Minute’ campaign – an employee volunteering initiative, encourages Essarites to commit as much time they can for volunteering for community development and social causes. The aim of the initiative is that all Essarites cumulatively clock a total of million hours of community outreach service. The response to this initiative has been overwhelming, as Essarites came in great numbers.
Under the campaign, employees of Essar Power MP Limited started out by investing time to take extra weekly classes for school children. Recently, many got involved with the organised distribution of school bags and school uniforms for children of Saraswati Shishu Mandir School, Nagwa, Madhya Pradesh (India). The smiles on the kids’ faces gave a sense of fulfillment to our Essarites.
With the determination to set progressive benchmarks, Essar Foundation shall continue involving greater number of volunteers to foster inclusive growth.
