Essar Power lauded by CEA – Ministry of Power, Govt. of India

The culture of learning and development for all is critical for any organisation, as well as the individuals associated with it. With this ideology, Essar Power Learning Centre (EPLC) was set up at Salaya (Jamnagar) to help improve the performance of employees and enable the organisation to meet its business goals. Situated at the Salaya Thermal Plant complex, EPLC is a state-of-the-art facility, replete with classrooms, 2X600 MW simulator with Remote Control Unit (RCU) technology, video bridge facility, library, labs, and workshops. Depending upon the programme, at a time 25 (through classroom sessions) to over 150 engineers (through video conference) can be trained at the EPLC.

In 2015, EPLC received the Central Electricity Authority certification (Ministry of Power, Government of India), which not only enabled Essar Power to train and certify its employees, but also be a preferred centre of learning for the industry. Recognised and accredited by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) in the past, the EPLC continues to be lauded for being in-sync with the dynamic industry, and investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure and advanced learning tools. It has in-house resources, as well as in-house adjunct faculties with a plethora of work experience . Recently, EPLC has been accredited as a Grade ‘B’ and Category – I Institute by the CEA. It scored high on parameters of programme and design delivery, organisation & staffing, training methodology, on-the-job training facilities and robust instructional capabilities. With ‘New-Better-Different’ learning initiatives like the Power Proficiency Programme, Advance and Basic Level Simulator Trainings, Coal2Power, Energy Efficiency, etc., EPLC is on its way to produce competent and capable power professionals.

More power to Essar Power for the achievement!
